Spring Obsessions

This spring has been fabulous with all of the trends taking place at the moment.
Here are some of my personal favorite spring trends:

COLOR BLOCKING:
I love this concept of dressing- it actually makes the process a lot easier! Some of my favorite color block combinations are with bright colors, such as neons or pastels, but it also works with more muted tones.
My ultimate favorite color block combo: bright fuchsia, a solid green, and light coral/orange.

A more subtle color block: Carolina Herrera

BOLD PRINTS
(especially when paired with other prints):
Try a matching print suit in a fun floral:

Mix & Match Prints:
Thakoon Spring 2012 Collection.
I am really digging the quirky fun prints in trend this season. From floral to geometric, the list of different patterns is endless in style this season. For the average shopper, I think this trend might be overwhelming, but as a fashionista, I think it is a definite must for everyone. It's bold, daring, and most importantly interesting to style.
Tips for execution
Throw on a bright floral blazer and pair it with an amazing dotted/striped/plaid skirt.
(OKAY, maybe some people will think this is too much...)
OR, you could be a little more discreet and do a dotted blouse with a geometric patterned style pant.

COLORS OF THE SEASON
Tangerine and Mint (another fabulous color blocking combination), which also works really well with my other recent obsession of soft pastels and metallics.
The tangerine hue is to die for- it makes any outfit pop.
Street style from the amazing Tommy Ton
Fabulous color block combination with this Spring's two must have colors:
Great geometric pattern with mint/black/orange/white color scheme-
Narciso Rodriguez

MINT, MINT AND MORE MINT!
Ray Ban Mint Sunnies, so cute!

PEPLUM:
I am a girlie girl, so I am overjoyed that peplum styles are back- such a simple, yet glamorous style.
I also think this trend is great and flattering for women of all sizes.
**Check out the first picture for the print trend...I spy a peplum top**
Leo printed peplum top by Giambattista Valli.
This would look amazing with another printed trouser or skirt.
I would definietly pair this with a geometric print.
 grr baby.

SPORT COUTURE:
I am NOT a sporty girl, but at least with this Spring trend, I can pretend to be one.
Probably one of the mot expensive sneakers a person could buy, but oh how chic!
Isabel Marant Sneaker

Wetsuit Inspired: Vera Wang

I actually really like this trend: it's so Sporty Spice, but with Posh's attitude.

SPRING ACCESSORIES:

Choker style necklaces- as long as they don't consist of puka shells!

Spiked Choker from F21

Metallic accents- whether it is on your feet or shoulder: this look is hot!
Celine Spring 2012 collection:
Trapeze in multicolor calfskin royal blue
Sam Edelman's Yelena Sandal

Alexander Wang's Anais Metallic Loafer

Wrist Craving- lots and lots of bracelets/cuffs/bangles: keep them piled on!

Find some cheap bangles  that you can layer with some nicer ones.
Like this set of 18 of glittered bangles from F21.

Eccentric Sunnies- keep people wondering about the girl behind the crazy glasses: style diva, duh.

Christian Lacroix oversized round sunglasses

Some of the images here are definitely out of my price range, but is a great help for some inspiration.
