Multiple Versions: Dotted Button Up

I think I am absolutely in love with this silk dotted blouse.
Something about its abstracted dots, making them look like olives in my opinion,
makes this shirt unique from every other dotted shirt out there.
I literally have been wearing it non stop...
yesterday I decided to pair it with my new shorts from Urban.
The combination of geometric shapes was so much fun!
Unfortunately, once I got to the city, my look had to become a bit more weather appropriate.
AKA throw on the layers and pull on the leggings.
It gets so damn breezy in the bay.
But hey, I can't complain about the weather...
at least the sun was out rather than the fog :P

Silk and Lace

It was a mix and match type of day!
I love my new silk polka dotted blouse, which looked lovely
with my red maxi lace skirt.
I was really feeling this combination of different textures, colors, and prints.
I'm so excited for the weather to start warming up...
cannot believe yesterday was the first day of summer ! ! !

I'm still drooling over this tweed jacket that I got yesterday.
One can never go wrong with tweed; I love how it adds texture to this look.
Right now, prints are obviously the rage,
so I thought this dress would be the perfect compliment to the tweed jacket.
I also lovvve my new sandals!

Lady Like

I wore this look while I was working the other day.
Jackie came by the store and we just stepped outside quickly to take these shots.
I love this dress because it can be worn so many different ways.
The last time I wore it, I layered a multicolored blouse underneath.
This time around, my look was much more simple-
I used my accessories as a pop of color.

Jackie and I always need our duo shots-- model behavior for sureeeeee.

Place of Work: Gumshoe

Being a style blogger, I would love to work in some crazy fashion house,
living the ultimate glamorous life that comes with a fabulous job. A girl can dream...
For the time being, I have been working in an adorable children's shoe store, which has been an amazing experience so far. I have being learning so much about how a business runs,
and most importantly what it takes to be successful in a fashion business.
I decided to bring my camera to work and took these awesome pictures of our merchandise
 (i.e. my personal favorites).
Gumshoe has such a great selection of shoes for babies and children:
Keens, Cole Haan, See Kai Run, L'Amour (just to name a few).
The best part about working at Gumshoe though is seeing a child walk out of the store with his or her new shoes on; their satisfied smiles are too darling.
I am such a sucker for a cute kid, especially when wearing even cuter shoes! :P

OF COURSE, I brought Poppy to work! I just loved him too much.

lunch break

I've been so busy working that it's hard to find time to take looks.
Jackie came by the store with some lunch and we did a really quick shoot.
I love my new hi-lo lace tank from F21, so cute and perfect for the summer!
Typically I would not wear the long sleeve shirt underneath,
but  I had to be appropriate for work! :p
And in case you were wondering, our lunch
(Curry Up Now burritos) were amaziiiing!
