Falling Back on White

I can't stand fashion rules, especially the no white after Labor Day rule. 

I love wearing white, so effortlessly chic. 

There are definitely ways to wear white throughout the year,

and here is a fall version!

I love the warm weather that comes with the summer months, 

but I'm ready from some cooler fall weather, 

which means one thing: layers!

I love layering clothes

because it's so interesting to see the different kinds of textural combinations that you can create. 

The weather is (obviously) still beautiful in California, 

so there was no need to layer a jacket. 

Instead, I layered this floral cut out dress over my staple polka dot button up, 

finishing the look with a pair of polka dot tights. 

Can't wait for fall to officially hit...

I have so many jackets that are dying to get out of my closet!

ASH & MK: CFDA Awarded

Who doesn't love the Olsen twins?

It was announced today that the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) will be awarding MK + A with the Womenswear Designer of the Year for their line The Row.

The Row is super fabulous. Their motto of aiming,  "to offer an updated concept of bespoke tailoring to modern-day classics," is beyond chic. 

Their designs are beautifully structured, allowing classic shapes to take on their new modern-day role.

Simplicity appears key to their collection: the use of only four colors-- navy, nude, black, and brown; the flat ribbon sandals; hair/makeup was at a beautiful minimal.

  

Yet, the girls definitely still bring it with their lux fabrics and bold structures.

Best combo ever: simply luxurious.
